Keeping it short and sweet this week as it is Sunday night and I've been drinking champagne in the sun since lunchtime...
New tradition number 3...appreciate old friends and new... with a par-tay!!
Our bookclub first met in January this year and so it seemed only right that we should celebrate. We invited our partners and children and promised not to mention books at all.
A very good time was had by all and some truly gorgeous food and wine were enjoyed.
My contribution was a large circle of brie topped with nuts and dried fruits and covered with toffee...delicious and the easiest party plate I have concocted ever!
how civilised - wish I was there !
ReplyDeleteI started a book club but got fed up with everyone trying to work out when to meet !
Getting our tree today
I am so going to have to try that! I wonder what the French will make of it? Sounds like you've had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds lovely, I love brie and that looks like a great way to serve it. Looking forward to hearing what you all think of 'Where the wild things are'.
ReplyDeleteIt may be easy but it sure looks impressive!! Well done for impressing with ease. That's the right way to do it.
ReplyDeleteCheese and toffee that's a new one on me, but it does look absolutely delish!!
ReplyDeleteChampers though - now your talking,
have a good one,
Nina x
